You may call me crazy and some of you may have a few choice other things you call me.......but as I sit here typing this, I have my lead heating up to do some pouring, I just pulled out a batch of cornbread from the oven and just added a big hunk to the bowl of beans that I am eating for breakfast, watching the Duke in The Shootist that is on, and looking over the board to see what is happening and my son just headed out to the woods in back to get a squirrel or two.

Life is good today.

Way to go, Chief. Life is good. Beans & Cornbread, John Wayne, Pourin' jigs - you're not missing much, man.

Hey, Tim! My boss, Brad (Graystone Graphics) swears by your coffee. Good stuff, Maynard!

Now all I can think about is ham and beans, cornbread with some fried taters and onions, umm good.

Chief, I have been trying to find a mold that has 3/32 ounce or a place just to buy the heads.

Does your mold have 3/32 ?

Troutchaser,

Not to high-jack the thread.....but it is awesome coffee. A guy named Ed is the roaster. I don't have much to do with the roasting or making. They are my my very generous sponsor.

Now back to our regularly scheduled discussion...

techo - yeah I enjoy making my own jigs. I learned to at a really young age due to my dad and all of his friends always poured and tied their own for crappie fishing. And they still do. It was great to be a kid then and listen to all the stories. Dylan, my son is following along right where I was when I was his age. Well is way a head of me in that he tying much smaller flys and jigs than I did.

tightline - I poured almost 90 1/64 this morning. Already got some painted before we left. I am now going to pour about 100 1/32 heads with a mix of size 8 and 6 hooks.

You did mean 1/32 didn't you? I am not aware of a 3/32 mold. Doesn't mean their ain't one I guess, I just never heard of one.

Yeah taxi all on the same stove. But when done in moderation........

Chief, Slider just sent me a PM,said he found them at Jans netcrafts website,so I guess they do make them. I would rather just buy the 3/32 jig heads already made but can't find any shops that sell them.

You poured almost 200 heads Chief, that should last a while.

Yeah I hope they last a goooood looooooooong time.

I'm gonna have to look into this 3/32 size. May have to get some of them too.

I remember dad buying his hooks 1000 at a time. Now that would last awhile too. But then there were days we would lose them right and left. I wonder just how many tons of lead there is in lakes around here?
