Northern Minnesota Trip?

We are looking at taking a trip this summer to Northern Minnesota while attending a wedding in North Dakota.We are having alittle trouble finding a outfitter that would allow us to take day trips but stay in our camper instead of staying in one of their cabins.Not rally wanting to take canoes out for several days at a time for our first rip there.Looking more for a guide that would make the trip more of a relaxing time than a canoe race.Any advice would helpful.Forgot,the area in ND would be Minot and Walhalla.

I am not sure where in Northern Minnesota you are wanting to go. If you can go as far as Raniy Lake.....I would go to Northernaire Houseboats. They will take you out for day trips. They have some great guides (or used to.) Bud used to own it, but I think he sold the place as he was in his eighties. Google should get you a Web site if you want to go that far.
