Members nathan RN Posted January 16, 2009 Members Posted January 16, 2009 i am planning on going to springfield lake this week and was wondering if anyone had any advice. What are the fish probably doing with the warmer water from the power plant and any bait/lure advice would be great.
Wayne SW/MO Posted January 16, 2009 Posted January 16, 2009 I wouldn't call the lake a warm water lake. There are some bank fishing areas near the dam and the power plant, and that's where you should find a warm water lake. Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.
Dutch Posted January 16, 2009 Posted January 16, 2009 Believe it or not some of the best bass fishing is at the warm water outlet. But you need to go there at night after all the crappie and catfishermen have gone home. Spinnerbaits work pretty well there.
