Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted January 28, 2009 Root Admin Posted January 28, 2009 damage docks- Lilleys lost 4 stalls on their upper dock Cooper Creek lost both their docks and it looks like their boats are under the dock. Docks ok so far- Lazy Valley and Ozark Trout's dock are holding. Scotty's dock and boats are in good shape. Don't know about Trout Hollow or lower lake. Last I heard, Lake Shore and Blue Haven's docks were not looking good.

Also how is this going to affect the Tourney this weekend? Troy Gregg
Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted January 28, 2009 Author Root Admin Posted January 28, 2009 It shouldn't affect this weekend... we're still taking reservations. Supposed to be 50 on Saturday. The docks collasped from the weight of the ice. I've seen 22 inches of snow on our docks but this ice was much worse. I'll have pics from this am later- here's from yesterday.
Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted January 28, 2009 Author Root Admin Posted January 28, 2009 Today- sun just now came out.
Mr. Ed Posted January 28, 2009 Posted January 28, 2009 Don't know about Trout Hollow or lower lake. I called Trout Hollow... we'll be staying there in a few weeks. They reported their docks are fine. Owning a lodge like yours Lilley looks like a dream... until something like this happens… then it looks like a ton of work. Good luck with the ice and tourney.
ekl-stl Posted January 28, 2009 Posted January 28, 2009 Good luck with the rest and the repairs.. ICE is a terrible thing.. hard to plan for.
rainbow Posted January 28, 2009 Posted January 28, 2009 Phil, sorry to see pictures like that and that you had this problem. Glad no one was injured. The picture in front of the condos was nice though.
Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted January 28, 2009 Author Root Admin Posted January 28, 2009 Blue Haven's has collapsed according to one of their guests that called our office. Lake Shore- one of their dock's is gone. Lamar said dozens of private docks along the lake are underwater. The large dock in Turkey Creek collapsed. Lamar said he figured he pushed over 7000 pounds of ice off his dock last night.
Members LWD Posted January 28, 2009 Members Posted January 28, 2009 I heard the ramps are not useable right now, the Cooper Creek public ramp is under 1 inch of ice and about 2 inches of sleet. What's the ramp report, are there any ramps public or private that are useable? What's the projection? Thanks for the update.
Terry Beeson Posted January 28, 2009 Posted January 28, 2009 Dang Phil... bummer for you and the others. OK... 1 cubic foot of ice weighs 57.5 lbs at 32 deg F... 30ft x 20ft x 1/4 ft (3 inches) x 57.5 = 8,625lbs Plug in your own numbers to get your results...
