creek wader Posted February 27, 2009 Posted February 27, 2009 quote name='rangerman' date='Feb 27 2009, 07:10 AM' post='97838'] how do you get to the MariOsa and can I get my ranger multi species in on the ramp there. I love to walleye fish, so how good is it there. The Mari-Osa is 7 miles east of Jefferson City on Highway 50, under the bridge on the Jeff City side(west). You can see on the attached map, about where the lock and dam is located on the river. (bottom of pic), it's where the lock and dam spur road ends. Put in at the Mari-Osa and go upstream to the lock and dam. It should have enough water for your boat. ... check the river levels on http://waterdata.usgs.gov/mo/nwis/current/?type=flow&group_key=huc_cd ... click the Osage river level at St. Thomas, it's the closest to Mari-Osa, also, you can check the gage below bagnell dam. It always has water there and they're catchin a few there. Both have good accesses. If you catch any they're usually sauger not walleye, same as far as i'm concerned. Also, I don't know where the guy was catching the fish that Seth was talking about. whether it was up or down stream. good luck ... wader[ wader
Seth Posted February 27, 2009 Posted February 27, 2009 I asked him if he got them near the lock or the mouth of the Maries, but he said anything yet. Usually always find the hybrids in either of those spots though.

Wait Multi-species is an outboard!!! No problems for me... The main channel up to the lock and dam should be okay, no real trick spots are there?
