Members msubobcats Posted February 25, 2009 Members Posted February 25, 2009 Because of today's economy, lots of people are out of work and I'm sure we all know someone in this dire financial situation. Unfortunately, a good friend of mine is one of them, but fortunately for us, he will be spending his new-found freedom on his boat down at Twin Bridges. He is not a spoonbill guy, just white bass on the Spring River side. So, instead of posting report after report, individually, I'm starting this thread and will post my friend's ongoing successes or failures (and mine when I can get there) on the white bass run. Should be a several times a week reporting (or more depending on weather) to keep everyone informed on the run. 2/23 - Zero. Water temp 47. Spoke to a couple of guys who caught 20 the day before. Saw several fish caught but really no action today. Go Cats
emjay Posted February 26, 2009 Posted February 26, 2009 great! when your reports gives the "ok", i'll be there
Members rngrfshrmn Posted February 26, 2009 Members Posted February 26, 2009 About the same here for my boat today. White bass - 0 / Black bass - 3 / crappie - 10 (3 keepers) only in one small spot. fished from the piers up almost to the bridge. Talked to only 2 other boats out of 20 or so that had any white bass. Heard of a guy fishing for catfish that did well below the r/r bridge. h2o temp 48.3 up to 50.8 at 6pm.
fishinSWMO Posted February 26, 2009 Posted February 26, 2009 Went yesterday 2/25, not much action untill just before time to start heading back. My son and I got 1 largemouth and 4 whites. A friend was close by in his boat and they got about 8 whites during the same time. Jeremy Dodson
shaker Posted February 26, 2009 Posted February 26, 2009 Thank you very much for the reports, it sure helps a guy that lives about 3 hours away from wasting a trip! Thanks again very much!
Members msubobcats Posted March 5, 2009 Author Members Posted March 5, 2009 Nothing new to report. Too cold and too windy. Speaking to a few guys and all have the same report as my friend. Not really biting, maybe have had one good day so far. Will be able to get on the water in the next few days for a new report. Go Cats
