Dutch Posted February 28, 2009 Posted February 28, 2009 Another spot is to go to the parking lot where they launch boats. I go there sometimes and never find any other bank fishermen around.
Tightline Posted February 28, 2009 Posted February 28, 2009 Ozarkfishman, you did good then by not saying anything. If anyone has had to learn restraint, its me. I use to get really nasty when I encountered an idiot like you did,but anymore I feel its just not worth it ruining my outing. Fish on!
smallmouthjoe Posted February 28, 2009 Posted February 28, 2009 What can you say? If you put every person that was rude to you in their place, fishing or no, you would spend your whole day yelling at people. It saves you a lot of time and energy by just walking away.
Whack'emGood Posted March 1, 2009 Posted March 1, 2009 If you don't like fishing shoulder to shoulder with people, you should get a boat. We are very blessed to have several massive lakes within short driving distance. There is plenty of room for everyone on these lakes and they are teeming with fish. Then again-- if you don't want to get a boat, just go to Table Rock and bank fish... plenty of room. Whack'em "Success builds confidence, and you have to learn to trust your instincts and forget about fishing the way a tournament is supposed to be won. I'm going to fish my style and make it work for me." -KEVIN VANDAM "Confidence is the best lure in your tackle box." -GERALD SWINDLE "A-Rig? Thanks, but no thanks. If I can't catch them on the conventional tackle that I already use, then I guess I just can't catch them." -LK (WHACK'EM)
Members peculiarmike Posted March 6, 2009 Members Posted March 6, 2009 Kiddies, we all have to learn to share. There is only so much room in any given area and others have the same right as you do to be there. The fellow 20 feet up the bank may well have had the same thoughts as you when you arrived. But may have been polite enough to not say anything or cause you any problem. Can't we all just get along???
OzarkFishman Posted March 6, 2009 Author Posted March 6, 2009 I agree in getting along. If you look at the original posts it was 20 yards = 60 feet. I really was just trying to get other access points and thanks to some kind people I have. I am a pretty easy going guy, and really don't mind people fishing semi-close or really close if they ask. It was the person that came up and threw a line in 5 feet away that got on my nerve. Just look at our government and you will realize that everyone has a different opinion. OzarkFishman
