ozark trout fisher Posted March 2, 2009 Posted March 2, 2009 It really depends on what you want to do... Livingston MT is tops...take a float down the Y. Stone then grab a steak and a margarita at the Rib & Chop House before heading back to Bozeman...Hard to beat that, but I like fishing the Madison, and some other places too. Then you have Northern California...great fishing on the Upper Sacremento. L. Sac around Redding, the McCloud, the Pitt. Yeah, Livingston is great. I also like West Yellowstone, right on the Madison, also near the Gibbon, Firehole, and other park waters.
superfly Posted March 3, 2009 Author Posted March 3, 2009 Thanks guys for all the great destinations. I am thinking about a future trip. So many great pieces water to pick from. Fish On!
rainbow Posted March 3, 2009 Posted March 3, 2009 Al mentioned the Frying Pan and Roaring Fork in Colorado. Fished both of them last summer. Both gold medal streams. The upper American River in the Sierra's is also great. Have also fished Boca Grande for tarpon and the White. I still like good old Taney the best.
