jdmidwest Posted March 12, 2009 Posted March 12, 2009 2 weeks ago, Jackson MO, nutball comes up to Ameren UE workers at a substation and starts blasting with a shotgun, wounding 3. Turns gun on self later when stopped by police saving us some taxpayer dollars. Reason Unknown. Alabama, Psycho nut job roasts mom in house before going on shooting spree to kill family and then innocent bi-standers before killing himself. Police were unable to do it for him. Reason unknown, just snapped, somebody made fun of him. Looks like it may have been fully automatic rifle, something outlawed since 1964 to all citizens that do not pay a high transfer tax and go thru a background check by the FBI. No gun ban will stop an ILLEGAL WEAPON. How come nobody writes the headlines with the same wording as I do? With all the job loss, Depressing News Stories, gloom and doom everywhere, those on the edge will start snapping. Statistics show that with high unemployment comes alcohol and substance abuse, then a rise in domestic violence. Tempers flair. Hopelessness sets in with a loss of self preservation. It is a start of things to come. Those on meds or a short lease are going to blow. We will probably see more. Home burglaries and invasion is on the rise locally since last fall locally because persons are struggling to make ends meet. Aren't we lucky to have our hobbies to relieve our stress? Unless you fish a trout park, how can fishing really stress you out? If you hunt, nothing beats a good outing in the wild and bagging a good meal. Tying flies, making lures or rods, reloading a batch of ammo, or just getting out in the shop and going thru the fishing tackle or cleaning guns relieves stress. A day at the range blasting away at paper targets is a good stress reliever. Sure beats bottling it up! Watch out for the crazy's, keep your families and friends safe. Learn how to protect yourself, take a CCW course. Police officers usually show up after a crime begins, it is up to you to protect yourself. Be aware of your surroundings.
