brownieman Posted March 16, 2009 Posted March 16, 2009 Most of the park lunkers are just worn out old broodstock fish that have been milked, pretty much just mishandled. Once they reach a certain size the quality and fertility of their eggs really decline. I realize this has to be done but some that hit the water, bank, rocks, whatever are on the verge of dying when they are stocked. My buddies and I always refer to the park bo bo's as mush meat anyway...I know alot of people like them, myself...smoked is about the only way I have found them to be very good eatin at all. It's said you are what you eat...growing up on 'Trout Chow' makes for pellet meat..no comparison to a trout that has been in the stream for awhile. jmho My friends say I'm a douche bag ??
