Keep them clients comin', fish a jumpin',and bank accounts pumpin'! Thought you all would like that! Members Wildside88 Posted March 30, 2006 Members Posted March 30, 2006 I went fishing mainly for whites on 03/29, had a pretty good trip. We put in the water about 1:30 in the after noon and was out of the water at 5:00 so we only fished for about 3 1/2 hours. We put in at cape fair and went up the James branch of the lake. We caught a little of everthing, caught about 5 largemouth all prett small and caught about 15 to 20 crappie (about 10 keepers). We only caught one white bass, but she was a hog, and even caught a catfish on a crappie jig. The lure of choice was a pink and white bass assassin. Fishing tree structure, finding most of our fish in the transition part of the bank line. Had good weather, (little windy) but all in all it was fun and caught some pretty nice fish, but we didn't find the whites that we where looking for.
Fishing Buddy Don House Posted March 30, 2006 Fishing Buddy Posted March 30, 2006 Fished yesterday and pre fished today, found the same bite as I talked about before. Long gravel points with wind, I threw a Split shot and swimming grubs from point 5 to Table Rock State Park. Same Colors Watermelon pepper on both, some on Watermelon grape Just like Bill talk about in his report, put your boat in 20-25 feet and start fishing from the bank out to deep water.. Nothing over 3.5 pounds but fat spots! Nothing like Bill had 2 4.5 blacks and over 35 fish in a 8 hour day!!! Now that is fishing or for thoses days we call it catching!! I will go try Bill's way and throw that stick on Friday and Saturday and see what happens.. Report back on Sunday... Good Fishing Capt. Bill Babler Posted March 31, 2006 Posted March 31, 2006 Guys, Buster and Paige hit it pretty hard in the Dam to Kimberling area the last couple of days. They both did have nice quality keepers but both reported the bite was a lot more active from Pt. 16 up the White. Get a nasty day with some rain a little wind, not a gale and the smalljaws will kick it in, in that dam area. Lots of males getting active up the White and that accounts for good numbers of fun fish. won't win you a tournament but their girl friend will if you are in the right place at the right bite. It.s just starting to kickin. http://whiteriveroutfitters.com http://whiteriverlodgebb.com
