Does anyone think getting dropped off at Parker and fishing up river to Baptist in a day is able to be done? It looks like it is just over 4 miles of river to cover. Are there some good trails in that area if the fishing cools off and I need to get back to my truck at Baptist?

thanks,

ouzel

It's easier at this time of year than when the foliage arrives. Depends on how much time you spend fishing each spot you stop at. It's doable, but I much prefer to float that portian and not have to worry about it.

Several years back I used to...not often, park at parkers, fish up to baptist and hoof it back down to my truck at parkers...long walk but plenty doeable.

Like gene said there is a noticable trail along the river...crosses back and forth alot and harder when the foilage is full.

We used to spot each other like you are talking quite a bit.

My friends say I'm a douche bag ??

For some of you regulars, if you need a lift to and from Parkers and Baptist, just check with me in advance to see if I am available. I have no problem lending a hand.

Definitely, doable at low water but it will be a long day....Its much easier to float, or hike in, camp, and fish for a couple days...The horse trails up from Parker make for fast travel...till you get within 3/4 of a mile of Ashley creek..Youll have to do a bit of brush busting in that section till you pick up the fisherman's trail that heads down from Baptist. Cheers.
