Members bourbeusefisher Posted March 24, 2009 Members Posted March 24, 2009 I am going to Stockton for the first time this weekend. My partner wants to do some crappie fishing and I would like to do some bass fishing. I was wondering if anyone can give me some advice on the fishing and places to watch out for so I don't destroy my lower unit on my motor. Thanks
Dutch Posted March 24, 2009 Posted March 24, 2009 There is a pretty good jerkbait bite going on. Mostly if you stay away from the bank you won't have to worry about running aground.

Thanks you wont have to worry about messing your lower unit up if put in at state park. from there you can go into turkey creek or maze both are good this time of year. just be careful and idle in and out of maze and turkey. jerkbaits are crushing bass right now and so are crankbaits. i had about 30 keeper bass on friday and everyone i have talked to says the same. i found fish on transition banks from rock changes where it changes from chunk to gravel.
