I'm planning a vacation to the Table Rock area the first week of June 09 and I'm wanting to hire a guide for a day or two. Can anyone recommend a good Smallmouth guide for Table Rock lake? Can you still catch big Smallies this time of year? Any information will be helpful. Thanks

Bill Babler, Bill Beck, Don House, Chris Tetrick, Capt. Joe or myself, any of us would be a good choice. Smallmouth the first week of June can be a little difficult, a lot will depend on water temp and level. Last year we were catching smallmouth all summer long, if the water is low and warm it may be difficult. Early June should still be o.k., any of us on this site would be happy to take you out.

Thanks,

I would second all of those guides. Not just good fishermen but good folks!

BVP81, make sure you get a place to stay pretty fast, the lake starts to bookup really fast that time of year. Also the main lake area from the DAM to Kimberling City and up the White River should have a good swimming grub bite or a tube bite in June for the Small Jaws... Internet search on google will get you phone numbers and Eric's post gives you names.. Just about all of us guides down here can get you on some Small Jaws in June.. Come on Down and Enjoy..

I will third that. You can't go wrong.

"A-Rig? Thanks, but no thanks. If I can't catch them on the conventional tackle that I already use, then I guess I just can't catch them." -LK (WHACK'EM)

We're staying at the Lodges (nice place or not?) on Indian Point road? It's like a 1/2 mile from Sliver Dollar City, but we've already got it booked. Thanks for all the info. I'm going to look at all the guides and talk to my buddy I'll be fishing with and should be making a decision soon. Thank again guys. I look foward to fishing with one of you.
