Tunnel Dam

i have never fished at tunnel dam before and would like to do you fish right below the dam or at the power house and how do u get down there

Turn South on U HWY off 54 HWY.Go to Edith where the roads turns to gravel,follow it to the end,hold to the Left and just keep holding to the Left.It will take you by the lake and down below the Dam.

We fish below the Dam.

If there isn't any water running over the dam, you may want to fish below the powerhouse. There's a gate at the top of the hill where the service road runs down to the powerhouse. You park there and walk around the gate (you'll see what I mean when you get there). Follow the road down the hill to the turbines. It's a faster walk going downhill than it is coming back up!

Is there a useable ramp within a reasonable distance of the dam, and enough water to run an aluminum prop boat up that way?

There is a gravel ramp above the dam. The lake seems to be fine for a small boat. I doubt you could run one below the dam, although when I was down there on March 2nd, there was quite a bit of water coming over the dam, and a good current below it. Looked like it could be a fun place to fish.
