Members grassjd Posted March 28, 2009 Members Posted March 28, 2009 thanks to all for answering some of my recent questions...we were able to get ahold of Larry Williams with OZ MT Ranch/Inman Hollow Civil War Skirmish and we are all set there. another question for the knowledgable ones...is there a river level that i need to watch to make sure it is still wadeable...it looks like today it is on the rise from the usgs site around 1.82 plus we have more rain coming...is that still safe to wade at that level from parker hollow up river to most likely baptist camp? i am guessing anything over 2.00 might be a little hairy. thanks, grassjd
Gavin Posted March 28, 2009 Posted March 28, 2009 Its usually OK with a 1'-1.5' rise, but anything more than that can make it tough to find a place to cross, especially below Ashley Creek. Its usually fishable with a 2-3' rise but crossing the crick w/o a boat isnt a good idea. The Current goes up quickly, and comes down fast..its hardly ever blown out for more than a couple hours. Good Luck.
