Members hendernt Posted April 6, 2009 Members Posted April 6, 2009 Long story short, my wife and I fished the empire park yesterday and caught a few whites but only 3 keepers really windy and hard to cast but the windswept shores paid off
Members XBEAR Posted April 7, 2009 Members Posted April 7, 2009 THANKS FOR THE REPORT. MAYBE THIS WEATHER WILL SETTLE SOON. XBEAR
Sam Posted April 7, 2009 Posted April 7, 2009 All these years and I never knew there were any white bass in Taneycomo - I just never thought about it. I guess there would be, because there's plenty in the lakes upstream and downstream. I'm glad you caught some, but I wouldn't think of Taneycomo as a prime white bass destination.
tippett7 Posted April 7, 2009 Posted April 7, 2009 I wish all the white bass would have a meeting between outlet 1 and outlet 3.
laker67 Posted April 8, 2009 Posted April 8, 2009 I wish all the white bass would have a meeting between outlet 1 and outlet 3. After the flood gate event in "04", I caught several at night, in and around both outlets. Most were caught on a #12 sowbug under a lighted indicator.
fly2fish Posted April 8, 2009 Posted April 8, 2009 After the flood gate event in "04", I caught several at night, in and around both outlets. Most were caught on a #12 sowbug under a lighted indicator. I caught several during the flood event of '08. There seemed to have been some schooled up under the overhanging tree below outlet 2 and a few scattered up by outlet 1. Caught most on white jigs, and PMS olive jigs. F2F
