how's the fishing?

now that its warming up, my buddies and i are gonna be heading down just below the dam... does anybody know if people are catching many hybrids and stripers, and is there any way to know when they're gonna run water?

Above is a link that's pinned at the head of this forum. It's the water level on the Osage below Truman Dam. It tells me they haven't ran water in a week so don't look for them to run water anytime soon.

The fishing... I couldn't tell you. We need some more Truman Tailwater fishers on the forum.

5 of us fished there Saturday. Everyone ended up with a limit of whites. We only had 1 hybrid. Also caught about 25 crappie 1 walleye some small catfish and 1 large gar. We have been catching a few hybrids but have not really targeted them for a while. I didnt see anyone just hybrid fishing.

i heard this morning that the walleye bite was good, but the tailwater there is 2+ hours from here, and with gas like this, and us being in college, none of us can justify the trip without a good chance at some hybrids.
