dwiebenga Posted April 11, 2009 Posted April 11, 2009 Went out today and did very poor in the boat...not a bite. Went and casted near the dam from shore and caught one white. Another guy near me was using 3/8 oz chart. bucktails and caught half dozen hybrids. I did not have the proper weight to get it into the current well enough. However, I snag a 35-40lb spoonbill and got him in with 8lb test on my spinning reel. That was interesting to say the least. I am still learning the "trailrace".

The spooner probably made it worth while, eh? Were they running any water?
