binman Posted April 12, 2009 Posted April 12, 2009 Well 2 of my buddies set out at 7:00 pm last night not aware of the cold weather we got or the fog. This is the second time they have even been to Table Rock.So they take off to night fish with no GPS no depth finder and no know how!!!! Well they get lost in the fog with nothing but a hooded sweat shirt on and low's in the 30's.So for 6 and a half hours they sat freezing to death with nothing to do but fish and kill time until day light so they could see where they were. They were throwing spinner baits with a gold blade where ever they were since they have no idea. I saw 7 keepers 2 smallies about 3lbs. and 2 LM that were every bit of 5 and the rest were just barely 15-16 in. range not too bad for a night of freezing cold weather, thick fog and terrible navigation. Not to mention why did they keep all them bass especially the smallies. I guess if I didn't have fish in the freezer I would do the same Brandon Inman

Whack'emGood Posted April 13, 2009 Posted April 13, 2009 ?? This whole thread is odd to me... not to mention disturbing. "Success builds confidence, and you have to learn to trust your instincts and forget about fishing the way a tournament is supposed to be won. I'm going to fish my style and make it work for me." -KEVIN VANDAM "Confidence is the best lure in your tackle box." -GERALD SWINDLE "A-Rig? Thanks, but no thanks. If I can't catch them on the conventional tackle that I already use, then I guess I just can't catch them." -LK (WHACK'EM)
FRENZEL Posted April 13, 2009 Posted April 13, 2009 Someone trying to stir the pot? TRACY FRENZEL FRENZELS GUIDE SERVICE 417-699-2277 "ONE MORE CAST"
binman Posted April 13, 2009 Author Posted April 13, 2009 Well I had no idea that a funny story that happened to my friends would cause so much drama good night I figured every one could use a good laugh guess not and for the one who called me a liar just wanted to let you know I have never lied on a post and why would I lie about fish that my friends caught? I guess you had too much to drink again does that not get old? Next time you call some one a liar make sure they are actually telling a lie and I find it to be quite rude and still can't figure out why you would say that. Any who hope you real angler's on here got a good chuckle out of that. Brandon Inman
techo Posted April 13, 2009 Posted April 13, 2009 The whole safety thing might put a few folks off, but you are sure to stir the pot whenever you mention keeping bass. It is a constant debate on here. I kind of thought you were trolling by the way your first post read. I am glad your friends ended up safe and able to return home. Tim Carpenter
binman Posted April 13, 2009 Author Posted April 13, 2009 Yeah I am glad they were safe and like I said I am still not one to tell who what or when they can keep some thing they catch when I am not even there you no. I on the other hand would have not taken that many fish I will how ever eat any 15-16 in. bass I am not above it but I do usually catch enough crappie that I usually don't keep bass. I just wanted to clear things up for every one that this was a trip my buddie's told me about,I thought it was funny so I decided to share it with every one for a laugh and some how it got carried away into I am a liar and lord only know's what else. I did see the fish they had in the well when they came home and they did good but had one unforgetable trip. Brandon Inman
