ollie Posted April 12, 2009 Posted April 12, 2009 WOW! What can I say. We had a great turn out for our first clean-up. For all of you who couldn't make the event you missed out on a great time and some good food! We had 60+ people turn out for the event and got a LOT of trash and debris out of the stream. I am a little sore today and I'm sure some of you that made the event might be a little sore as well. We concentrated on a mile stretch between Spring street bridge and Wood street bridge. We ended up taking out 3 pick-up truck loads of trash and a lot of other debris. Lots of trees and limbs were removed also. We started at noon and went until 3:00. I was very proud of everyone who made the event such a success! Thanks to all that came out and to those who have supported us. Sorry, I'll try and upload pics later when I figure out why they aren't loading. Danoinark Posted April 13, 2009 Posted April 13, 2009 Ollie, FYI, the forum picture uploader function is not working although you can still post pictures by using a web picture hosting site and posting the url of the picture in the insert image feature. There was a thread about it earlier in the week. Dano Glass Has Class "from the laid back lane in the Arkansas Ozarks"
Buzz Posted April 13, 2009 Posted April 13, 2009 I was glad to see so many kids show up to help. The Neosho H.S. football team was there along with a bunch of kids ranging in age from 10 to 18. It was quite a workout, but I enjoyed it. The whole thing came off without a hitch. Thanks Ollie, you did a great job. If fishing was easy it would be called catching.
