Members Jon Posted April 21, 2009 Members Posted April 21, 2009 I'm heading to pomme on wendsday. Have'nt been there since back in the 80's. Anyone got any recent info, hot spots, water condition- temps, weather ect.? I'd like to get into some walley, bass or crappie. At this point I'm not to picky. Thanks for any info.
Members largemouthjoe Posted April 21, 2009 Members Posted April 21, 2009 I was up there on Saturday and water temp was 62. Caught a few small crappie and bass and my brother in law caught an 8 pound channel cat on a minnow crappie fishing a cove. Another buddie was up on Sunday fishing a tournament there and winning weight was 15 lb. 6 oz. with big fish being 5 lb. 7 oz. Said that bass were shallow around stick ups and bushes hitting jigs. Hope this helps.
conman Posted April 21, 2009 Posted April 21, 2009 Jon, I was bass fishing Friday, Sat and Sunday morning. We had a very strong bite (200+ fish) in the backs of the north shore coves. We had 5 fish over 15", probably 25 over the 13" legal limit and the remainder in the 9 to 13" range, biggest one was 5.8 lbs. Had a blast! the majority came very shallow on Shakeyheads. I dont think the bigger females were back there, but with the warmer nighttime temps coming in they should be by this weekend. Good Luck Chris
