Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted April 29, 2009 Root Admin Posted April 29, 2009 Took Jean and Francis Steffen out last evening. Took the pontoon up below Powersite and anchored on the River Run side in hopes of getting them into a few white bass. Thought the best and easiest would be minnows hanging off the back of the boat. It was slow at first but before dark they started hitting pretty good. Caught a nice crappie and a dozen whites, a couple of decent ones. All males. Great evening to be out with good friends.
twosets Posted April 30, 2009 Posted April 30, 2009 That sounds like a tough trip. Guiding those two can be a real handful Phil, you are the best "This is not Nam. This is bowling. There are rules."

Nighthawk Posted May 2, 2009 Posted May 2, 2009 hey Phil, do you know of a way to find out online whether they are running powersite and what the elevation or flow is?
Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted May 2, 2009 Author Root Admin Posted May 2, 2009 No- I don't think Empire has anything online. But as far as thru the turbines, I'd think that's 24/7 for sure. As far as over the top- that depends on if Taney is running. Level would be the level of Bull Shoals basically.
Members Sumday Posted May 6, 2009 Members Posted May 6, 2009 In the years I've watched, it takes 3 hours for the water to move through the system, my advice is that IF they are on at Table Eock, it wont be long at Powesite. Powersite is turned on by Joplin.
