I've heard that the eyes don't stay on very well. I suppose it depends on the glue. Would you use small dumbbell eyes? Hook sizes, #6 + #6, shorter shank? Like you said, It's hard to get good marabou, only a few are good in the pack. I'll try it.

Thanks for the great vid on tying these flies. I haven't tied anything in years and it was enjoyable.

I'll be testing them out warmwater and see how they work for me.
