Danoinark Posted June 27, 2006 Posted June 27, 2006 Kickn I agree, my hats off to Orvis That lady called today and said they couldn't repair my Silver labels, so they are sending a brand new pair today. No charge. Thanks for the help on this. Dano Glass Has Class "from the laid back lane in the Arkansas Ozarks"
Kicknbass Posted June 29, 2006 Author Posted June 29, 2006 Good deal. I'm glad this worked out for you as well. I got mine a week ago. Brand new waders after 2 years of heavy use. I can't wait to break them in. " Too many hobbies to work" - "Must work to eat and play"
Brian K. Shaffer Posted July 2, 2006 Posted July 2, 2006 Ain't it nice when Orvis works like it should. Glad to hear both of you got "hooked" up! Brian Just once I wish a trout would wink at me! ozarkflyfisher@gmail.com I'm the guy wearing the same Simms longbilled hat for 10 years now.
Kicknbass Posted July 5, 2006 Author Posted July 5, 2006 Thank you Brian. I doubt that I would have called Orvis had you not made the suggestion. So Thanks. " Too many hobbies to work" - "Must work to eat and play"
polock Posted February 7, 2007 Posted February 7, 2007 my next pair of waders will be orvis for sure now
MrsDucky Posted February 7, 2007 Posted February 7, 2007 They say that when some one gets good service, they tell 1-2 people, and when they get bad service they tell about 15. Glad to see some one getting some good press for once! (Of course, with their prices, they better back up the merchandise...and it sounds like they do!) I can bring home the trout...fry it up in a pan...and never let you forget I caught it! 'Cause I'm a woman!
Danoinark Posted February 7, 2007 Posted February 7, 2007 Another kudos for Orvis. Several years ago I bought an Orvis Madison fly reel, made by Pflueger back in the 70's at an estate sale. Paid peanuts for it. I wanted to change it to right hand retrieve and in doing so broke the click pawl. I recently sent it to Orvis and they repaired it, changed it over for RH retrieve, lubed it and all for 10 dollars. So with my wader repair story and now this reel repair I am prompted to look toward Orvis when I am in the market for new products and gear.
