Al Agnew Posted May 2, 2009 Posted May 2, 2009 I dug up an old photo of the 9 pounder I caught...you can see from the thickness of the fish why it weighed 9 pounds when it was a bit less than 24 inches... And here's the 26 incher from an Ozark stream...probably the most beautiful largemouth I've ever caught!

ozark trout fisher Posted May 3, 2009 Author Posted May 3, 2009 That is a pretty bass. Not to mention huge Went back again today, to a different cove of the lake. I decided to go after just the big boys today. I only caught two bass in five hours, but they were big, 21", and 18" to be exact. They were full of eggs, but not yet on their bed. Caught them on live green sunfish. They were both hooked right on the lip, and released unharmed back to the water. I'm just shocked, because the water I'm fishing generally doesn't produce any lunkers, but it sure has been different lately. Later on, I caught 9 big bluegill on a fly rod rigged with a black woolly bugger.
