strangercreek Posted May 10, 2009 Posted May 10, 2009 I got to fish Thursday before the storms later that evening. Nice weather. The catch and release area was actually clear enough to fly fish. I caught a dozen or so using 1/80 ginger micro jigs and olive/black sculpins. Three of the rainbows were really decent. I got a picture of one with my disposable camera (it was a camera that has been in my vest for a year, so hopefully the picture comes out). It was 16-18". Friday was a different story, that same lower area was really muddy and high. I fished in the park for a while and caught a couple more on ginger micro jigs, but that was it...wet and rainy. Lots of people fishing/camping though. I found one area where trout were rising (right below the second bridge up in the park, right after the stream makes a bend). I tried everything I could think of (midges, soft hackle, dries, etc)...any ideas?
