Don Posted May 23, 2009 Author Posted May 23, 2009 By the way... A bit of trivia... Who wrote "Move It On Over" covered by George Thorogood? That would be Hank Sr of course. I have the Steppenwolf version of "I'm Movin On" on my next mix. It was written by another Hank, Hank Snow. Another band that ws not mentioned is one I saw in concert some odd years ago, Missouri. I picked up their Best Of CD a few weeks ago. Thanks for the input everybody. Don Don May I caught you a delicious bass.
Okieflyfisher53 Posted May 23, 2009 Posted May 23, 2009 Another good old southern rock band is Grinderswitch. Their cd's can be hard to find. I've seen a few on ebay. Steve
Don Posted May 27, 2009 Author Posted May 27, 2009 Yesterday I logged onto allsouthernrock.com and listened to all southern rock internet radio. Pretty good stuff. Don Don May I caught you a delicious bass.
Members CKennedy Posted May 28, 2009 Members Posted May 28, 2009 You are right, Southern Rock is a dying breed. Any "Drive By Trucker" fans? They are one of the few current bands I know that I would still consider Southern Rock.
