That would be Hank Sr of course.

I have the Steppenwolf version of "I'm Movin On" on my next mix. It was written by another Hank, Hank Snow.

Another band that ws not mentioned is one I saw in concert some odd years ago, Missouri. I picked up their Best Of CD a few weeks ago.

Another good old southern rock band is Grinderswitch. Their cd's can be hard to find. I've seen a few on ebay.

You are right, Southern Rock is a dying breed. Any "Drive By Trucker" fans? They are one of the few current bands I know that I would still consider Southern Rock.
