Ämp Posted May 21, 2009 Posted May 21, 2009 Grew up on stockton . Love to fish. Everything from the surroundings to the sport itself is a great experience for anyone young , old and in between in my opinion. I am 23 yrs of age and reside in springfield . Living in the ozarks my entire life has given me a great chance to enjoy every style and season of fishing we have to offer, the most of my time is spent bass fishing from my 16 ft aluminum v. w/ 25 merc. but I also enjoy fly fishing , snagging, and floating for small mouth on flat creek. I am new to the forum , just wanting to share and learn as much as possible about what I like to do most. Thanks for the site guys .

Flysmallie Posted May 21, 2009 Posted May 21, 2009 Welcome to the forum. Where the heck is Flat Creek? Starts up around Cassville and dumps into Table Rock up above Cape Fair with the James. But I'm telling you it's a wasted trip. Lots of sharks too.

Flysmallie Posted May 21, 2009 Posted May 21, 2009 I hear its like deliverance down there anyway , should prolly cancel all plans if you dont know how to deal with the locals Uh, what I said earlier was all just a joke, but this statement is very true. But it seems like all of our waters bring out some of the best people. True story. A few years back me and a buddy floated Flat Creek. About half-way through our adventure we run across this lady, a big lady, missing most of her teeth. Not trying to be rude, I'm a big guy, just trying to paint the picture. She hollers out at us; "Hey, have you guys seen a man and a mexican in a canoe" While a billion questions went through my mind the only thing I could get out was "Nope". I mean what kind of question was that, a man and a mexican?? Was the mexican also a man? So shouldn't that be two men or two guys? Or maybe a man and a lady? I will never forget the 10 second conversation that we had. Paddle faster, I hear banjos.
tippett7 Posted May 22, 2009 Posted May 22, 2009 FLat Creek has also been know as Hillbilly Lover Lane Creek
