Nafff Kids Fishing Derby

This is just a reminder that if you are interested in helping out with the Kids Fishing Derby on June 13th please let Mike Tipton know as soon as possible.

The good news is that this year NAFF doesn’t have to cook!! We need “fishin’ marshals” to be down on the river to measure the catch as the kids bring them in and some other details that the crew will come up with. It’s a lot of fun. The “Derby” takes place at Quarry Park across Hwy 177 from the Norfork National Fish Hatchery below Norfork Dam. The time will be from about 8:00 a.m. when registration starts until the last prize is handed out around 1:00 or 1:30. The fishing actually takes place from 9:00 till 11:00.

Once the activities are over then you can head out to do a little fishing on your own. The dam is normally shut down for this event so you should be in luck for good wading!!
