ozarkgunner Posted May 31, 2009 Posted May 31, 2009 Left Columbia at 7 am. Bagnell by 8:15. Fished the the floodgate side and landed 6 black bass over 4 lbs. (all released)! Landed another 20+ black bass around 15 inches in the 3 hours I fished. I had 3 spoonbill (released), ten whites, and 1 crappie to go with it. My buddy got ten whites, a crappie, and several black bass. To the gentleman who fished two feet from me when the WHOLE bank was open.... thanks.........you truly are a huge #$%#. The example you set for your kids is gross and I would have helped your kids catch fish if you had not told me that " You aren't forcing me out" when I asked you to give me enough room to cast my baitcasting rod. Is a hook in the eye worth it? You caught 2 fish in 3 hours... I got close to 50............ it's not the spot buddy! It's you! Tight lines. See you all down there tomorrow. Angler At Law

Seth Posted June 1, 2009 Posted June 1, 2009 Glad to hear you slayed them. I might have to make a run back up there next weekend and try for catfish again.

The only problem is that the spoonbill are so thick that it costs almost $30 in Rapalas every trip! I used a pearl slider and that worked well. However, the crank-bait bite was strong so I stuck with it. Angler At Law

My rods are loaded with ten pound vanish so I certainly could have hooked into a few and chalked them up as spoonbill break offs! I'm leaving in ten mins. to go back down. I will report when I get back. Angler At Law
