I have always heard of 100 fish days on Taneycomo, but I never experienced it myself. About 60 was my best day, but Saturday was unique. After running water forever they turned it off. I hit the water about 9:00 am and started below outlet # 1 about 100 yards. Using a dark gray scud with a marabu scud underneath I started catching a bunch. Some were decent size and some small but all of them fought like hell. I normally like to move around when I fish, but this day was special and I stayed at the same location till 5:30pm. There was a period of almost 3 hours where I was catching fish on every cast. It didn't matter what you were throwing they were hungry. Everyone was catching fish around me. I even switched to a soft hackle to slow things down for me, but nope I was getting a hit almost every cast on that too. What an awesome day. Sunday I went back down there and fished nothing but soft hackles and caught about 45 for the day. Not as good as Saturday but still 2 great days in a row of fishing. Hopefully they will make this a regular pattern.
