I think above the 54 bridge ALL snagging regardless of the season or species is prohibited.

There is a snagging season that lasts from march 15th to april 30th or may 15th depending on where you are. and then a fall/winter season for the mississippi. If it is not during that season you can not snag for anything even asian carp and other trash fish. So you will just have to wait for next year to snag them.

I would encourage you and everyone to take a few minutes to get on the conservation website and look over the regs. May save you a hefty ticket one day for doing something you didn't know was wrong or out of season.

alright,thank's for the info before i got a ticket,sometime's the school's of carp would come by my boat and i would try and snag them,wont be doing that anymore.

As I said, you can NEVER snag above the 54 bridge.

I'm going to head down this week sometime.
