Members culligan man Posted June 5, 2009 Members Posted June 5, 2009 I will be staying around the Buck Creek area for a week during the last week in June. I'm looking for some tips. I will be fishing early mornings and evenings into the night. Any specific baits that have success at night?? I haven't seen a lot of reports on Bull Shoals, lately. Any info would be greatly appreciated. P.S. Looking for bass

Bull Shoals Lake: As of Tuesday, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers reports the lake’s elevation at 669.78 feet MSL. Bob Pauletti (870-656-3350) with Bull Shoals Lake Boat Dock said bass fishing has been good. Spoons, cast up to the bank and worked back to the 25-foot range has been the best technique. The top-water bite is also good early and late in the day. A jig-and-pig, hula jig or a grub on a ¼-oz. jighead will work well on smallmouth. Night fishing has really picked up, with crankbaits, spinnerbaits and jigs the most effective.
Dutch Posted June 25, 2009 Posted June 25, 2009 If you have any wind try a spinnerbait. Early spooks should be good. There are lots of good places in that area. I am fond or Becky, Tremble, big and little Buck, not to mention Big. I had had good success parallelling timbered bluffs late in the evening with wiggle warts.
Members culligan man Posted June 26, 2009 Author Members Posted June 26, 2009 Thanks for the info. I'm a little surprised by the night time crankbait bite. That gets me excited! I was getting ready to put the cranks away for awhile and switch over to the big plastics and jigs. Well, I'll be down in a few days.
