Gavin Posted June 5, 2009 Posted June 5, 2009 http://parkplanning.nps.gov/document.cfm?p...ocumentID=27597 Your comments are needed on proposed management changes to the Ozark National Scenic Riverways. The proposed changes pertain to limits on motorized boats and land use and they can be viewed at the link above. There will be a meetings around the state seeking comments if you want to attend or you can submit your comments via the web. I'd hope that you will take some time to offer your comments because these changes will affect two of Missouri's premier trout waters and some of the best smallmouth waters in the state (Jack's Fork and Current below Round Spring) Gavin
KCRIVERRAT Posted June 5, 2009 Posted June 5, 2009 Thanks Gavin! Being an avid float-fisherman of the areas effected, especially the Jacks Fork, I know exactly which alternative I favor and will be commenting on. HUMAN RELATIONS MANAGER @ OZARK FISHING EXPEDITIONS

KCRIVERRAT Posted June 10, 2009 Posted June 10, 2009 I hope the people on this forum really react to this one, even the Taney guys. More input the better... even if you don't fish the riverways. HUMAN RELATIONS MANAGER @ OZARK FISHING EXPEDITIONS

Just like the less chance of getting hit by a jet boat in skinny water is all the better LOL.

I can't tell you how many dead trout I have seen lying on the bottom of the river when I'm out bowhunting on the island across from my cabin. I fished one brownie out with a paddle that was at least 7lbs. Allowing jetboats on this stretch is a joke also. Deer Slayer

Deer Slayer I agree with you, but the Meramec River isn't part of the Ozark National Scenic Riverways.
