Members fiveweight Posted December 19, 2009 Members Posted December 19, 2009 Smallmouth, just over 5 lbs, white 1/8 oz rooster tail. Seems like a dwarf compared to most of you guys.
Members Greg_s Posted December 19, 2009 Members Posted December 19, 2009 Rapala F9 silver, 7lbs largemouth. She was busting minnows and I just threw to the boil. Caught a couple over 5lbs that day on the same lure. Largest smallie is in my profile pic. 4lbs on a #4 chartruse and white clouser.
RSBreth Posted December 19, 2009 Posted December 19, 2009 Largemouth Bass: Just over 10 lbs. according to a buddies "De-liar" scale. My own Deer-Hair Bass Bug, unnamed Kansas pond. I have a grainy and poor-looking Polaroid of the event. Fish looks blurry and huge, I look mildly drunk. Rainy and stormy August day, in 5-feet or water, right by a blown down cottonwood tree where the creek flowed in the pond. I still am trying to break the 6-pound Smallie line, haven''t done that, but come close every year. So 5+ on Smallies, mostly on everything you could name. Biggest (weighed) Spot was at BFL event at Table Rock: 4lbs, 10 ounces. Football on a custom Rogue, 10-foot deep over about 25-feet of water, right by a giant cedar.
Fly_Guy Posted December 19, 2009 Posted December 19, 2009 SM - in avatar - 20 inches, pot-belly,guessing at over 5 lbs. Taneycomo during flood stage, white hand-tied marabou jig. LM - around 5 lbs as well (a minnow for most of you). Gpa's farm pond - green plastic worm.
Gatorjet Posted December 22, 2009 Posted December 22, 2009 6.5 # on silver and black spook over a brush pile on a point in Truman above Bucksaw. Several others that day in the 3 to 5 range. Mostly on the spook, some on chartreuse single blade spinnerbait. The big rub, that was pre-fishing the weekend before a tournament. Over 4 inches of rain the next week, lake went up 15' and became the color of chocolate milk. Couldn't BUY a bite during the tournament! Real men go propless!
