If I was you I would get some jigs, some of the biggest trout I have ever caught have been pitching jigs around docks! If you are fishing from the dock, just throw em out and bounce em back on the bottom! You could also probably vertically jig around the dock if the water is deeper, they will hold all around the docks. Just my 2 cents, but I have been successful using em around docks and other structure and they do also tend to attract the attention of the larger, more predatory trout(sometimes) when they are mixed in with the stockers and smaller fish! iIwould also be that you will catch more fish using jigs than you will with powerebait and it's a lot less of a hassle, many people are coverted to using jigs over anything else once they give it a try and kind of figure out what its all about!! Good Luck with it!!

Nightcrawlers! We've hooked a number of dandy trout over the years off the dock by fishing a worm with air injected in it. You'll usually catch some nice browns doing this also. Good luck!

I would use and 1/8oz if the water is running and anywhere from 1/32 to 3/32oz if its off!! I would trow a 3/32 casting out with the water off and use a 1/32 kind of just vertical jigging around the dock(just letting it fall and twitching it every once in awhile). You just kind of have to see what they rae wanting, but I would definately use either Sculpin/Ginger or Olive, these have been on fire for me lately and for sure try white, but if it doesn't get bit on the first few casts they don't want it so switch it out!! Hope this helps!!

Please, if you are going to take the time to post something and ask for someone's time and advice, take the few extra minutes to make it readable. Deciphering a non-punctuated wall of text is not enjoyable. This is a big pet peeve of mine.

I tried to make that comment direct without being rude, it was not my intention to be anything but helpful. I consider it a common courtesy. It is also the reason I want to pull my hair out when I read myspace and facebook pages. I think Phil works very hard at maintaining a helpful and open forum. I think treating this forum like a myspace page is a disservice to those of us that expect more out of it.

Of course I am a fly fisherman it explains my eccentric nature and strict attention to detail. :)
