I've been a little concerned for awhile now, but has anyone heard about C.U. or the Corp of Engineers having a proposal about daming the Niangua, maybe it was the James, I'm not certain for sure, but I believe it was to affect the land owners in the given region near the west side of Webster Co.?

I believe there was discussion on this about 10 yrs ago, & now recently again. But I've not heard of anything confirming this.

Thanks

When I lived in Marshfield about twenty plus years ago there was talk about a dam and development at the A HWY bridge over the James. This may be what you are remembering.

Dams have become a three letter word. I doubt the corp wants any publicity about any new dams. They are tearing some down when they become obsolete. I'm sure the only reason Powersite is safe is the economy it generates.

Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.
