anybody ever fish it? i've heard it's a nice lake, lots of timber and clear water, but i've never seen it.

debating getting my ks license...it's closer to the house than anything except grand.

I have fished it a very nice lake loaded with crappie lots of short ones. Big bass that can be hard to catch. You might try bone creek by arma.Nice crappie big bass and eyes.More timber and cleare water thn big hill.

Never fished Big Hill, but I've fished Bone Creek. It is a nice lake. If there is one of their tournaments on there watch out because they will buzz you in their boats(jerks). A buddy and myself caught some decent bass in there.

I agree with you on the gravel las time i was there knocked out a trailer light and the boat is always so dirty after you leave. I always here good things about the trout pit. I have fished alot of the smaller pits and always caught alot of bass but it has been a few years since i have fished them.Kansas fish and game puts good fishing reports on ther website might check them out.

i took a chance and took the boys to big brutus this morning. they caught a couple small bass on minnows. it was our first time to try the pits. big brutus looks like the empire state building from the water.

we saw six or eight big bucks swimming across the pits. it was awesome. we were only about 30 yards from them. they jumped in and swam to the other side. i swear it was like the caribou migration on the discovery channel.

the pits were nice but it was pretty windy, and hard to get out of it with the way the pits were dug.

probably should have taken them to grand and went after white bass...but we overslept...nevertheless, it was a good day to be a dad!
