GloryDaze Posted June 16, 2009 Posted June 16, 2009 Can someone give me some help- I'm camping at Bay Creek this weekend and will not be arriving until around midnight Thursday evening- I cannot seem to find what the gravel road is called off HWY 106 I will need to turn on. It looks like it's closer to Alley on the south side- I'm guessing it's about 4 miles to the river once I turn off? Follow me on Twitter @DazeGlory
ColdWaterFshr Posted June 16, 2009 Posted June 16, 2009 The Bay Creek access is on the NORTH side of the river, not the South side. CR 106-425 is the gravel rd that is off of 106.
KCRIVERRAT Posted June 16, 2009 Posted June 16, 2009 County Rd. 106-425. There's a brown sign for Bay Creek there at the turn-off also. If I remember right I believe the sign does say that it's 4 miles. Looks like the gravel road has a split left which you don't take, then a split right which you don't take either. Just lay straight ahead (as well as you can in those hills ). I'd bet there's a sign pointing the right direction anyhow. Have fun and save me a few fish... I'll be down Tuesday! GloryDaze Posted June 16, 2009 Author Posted June 16, 2009 Thanks Fellas- I've always floated past Bay Creek so I've never had to drive there. KC River Rat- I'll do my best to save you some fish..but man the water should be in great condition after the rains today. Looks like we'll do from the Prongs to Bay Creek and spend Friday and Sat night on the river. KC- I'm sure you wil appreciate this, I have been so desperate to float, me and a buddy took off last week and floated the Kansas River from DeSoto to the 435 overpass. Makes me really appreciate the Ozark streams after that jaunt. I'll post some pics to get you even more excited for your trip next week! Follow me on Twitter @DazeGlory
KCRIVERRAT Posted June 16, 2009 Posted June 16, 2009 It's been awhile, but I launch my Tracker at English Landing in Parkville, motor up to the Weston area, cut the motor and "float" back down. Not exactly kayaking... but it's easier to eat the BBQ we pick up at Smokehouse. HUMAN RELATIONS MANAGER @ OZARK FISHING EXPEDITIONS
