dwiebenga Posted June 21, 2009 Posted June 21, 2009 Had a great summer trip this year. Started out will Bill on Thursday morning, and he pretty much summed the trip up. It was a great morning with a Class A Guide! If you have not had the opportunity to fish will Bill....DO IT! I learned much from watching and he was very open about answering questions. I feel much more comfortable with the lake now. Friday, I tried to hit some of the same places, and the top water action was HOT again with at least 15 fish with 2 good LMs and numerous KYs. Tried my luck at the drop shot, and I was shocked...I figured it out. I caught at least 12 more woth 5 keepers on long points in about 25-30 ft. I was using Watermelon-Red worms. Saturday, was a topwater morning with 1 18inch SM and 1 19 inch LM with at least 12 more KYs. Sunday, mu topwater bite was gone 3 small whites and 1 KY. I did find some drop shot fish on some docks. 1 16 inch KY and a keeper LM mixed with some shorts. I tried a trotline for the first time with mixed results. I caught 1 gar, 1 16inch Crappie, 2 Channels ( 3 lbs and 10 lbs), and 3lb Flat head. It was fun. See you all in the Fall. Dave
