smallmouthjoe Posted June 22, 2009 Posted June 22, 2009 Had my dad drop me off at green bridge today after the family father's day celebration. Fished for about a half mile up stream then fished my way back to the bridge. Caught around a dozen fish including smallmouth, largemouth, eyes, and a collection of sunfish. Most fish were caught on a strike king bitsy tube in pumpkin with green flake. The two biggest fish I hooked today I lost on an x-rap but I lost them at the end of the fight so I just consider them an easy release. The drunken floaters are back, i saw no less than six different parties come past me. One guy asked me if I wanted to buy some pot. It was a strange encounter.
techo Posted June 22, 2009 Posted June 22, 2009 Sorry about the pothead. Rest of the time sounded fun. Tim Carpenter
smallmouthjoe Posted June 22, 2009 Author Posted June 22, 2009 Oh it was great, I don't mind dealing with the floaters until they start messing up the fishing. Most of the people that passed me were fishing the same water I was and causing all kinds of commotion. I still caught some fish but it would have been better if they hadn't passed through. But it's just something you have to deal with. I don't own the river, I wish I did, but I don't.
Members atron Posted June 7, 2010 Members Posted June 7, 2010 How easy is it to put in (solo kayaks) at Greenbridge? Which side do you put in on?

It's pretty easy to get a canoe or a kayak down there, at least I can always manage without much of a problem. You will want to use the north side of the bridge, you'll see where to take it once you get there. Good luck.
