wily Posted July 5, 2009 Posted July 5, 2009 we just got back from 5 days on the lower end. water is hot and dirty. water temp from rockaway to the dam is pushing 80. the trout are stressed but they're still down there. early mornings and late in the evenings was the best fishing. had to go all the way to the landing practically to find 65 degree water. the water in the monkey island area to lilley's looked really good. clear and cold. but by the time we got up there the boys were pretty much worn out so we didn't stay too long. bass and perch fishing was only fair. nevertheless...good times
bigredbirdfan Posted July 9, 2009 Posted July 9, 2009 I think this is a very good reason for minimum flow at Taneycomo when water is available in TR. Just my opinion.
