Members dogman Posted July 6, 2009 Members Posted July 6, 2009 Has any one been catching white bass on Stockton. Last two times out I stayed until dark only to get one or two fish. Anyone seen them surfacing and chasing shad.
Dutch Posted July 6, 2009 Posted July 6, 2009 I have fished Stockton a lot this year and while not targeting them in particular, I have been keeping an eye out. So far all I have seen is black bass chasing shad on top and that has been slowing way down.
Don Posted July 8, 2009 Posted July 8, 2009 Years ago, when I had my pontoon at Mutton Creek, I let my kids troll on the flats south of Roark Bluff to Birch Branch area and back and forth, north and south in 2-6 ft of water at 2 miles per hr. (walking speed) on the west side of the lake. Use white and chartreuse vibric rooster tails. Even good results in hot summer dog days if you go early and late in the day. Don Don May I caught you a delicious bass.
