stone9-7=2 Posted July 20, 2009 Posted July 20, 2009 Been awhile. My brother comes down from IL every year for a week just to do this... we went the 3rd,5th,7th & 9th all fish came from 16 to 24 feet in 60 feet of water except for the eyes they were 30 feet. Caught 6 eyes only 2 keepers. My brother, son & me on the 7th, was by far the best night ever. 45 Crappie ,1 big eye & a few whites. Minnows & Shiners were the ticket, very few hit the shad. Best bite came around 2 in the morning but caught fish all night. Lots of dinky Crappie & eyes were caught also. My brother,Dad & me on the 9th was pretty good also with 27 fish caught. Fish were caught from Elbow down to Buck creek area. Love the night time. Friday night fish fry was awesome & thats what I'm thinking while holding the Walleye, man your going to taste good. Thats it,hope you like the pic's. Hope the pic's work.

Members rlcarter Posted July 27, 2009 Members Posted July 27, 2009 stone, i was thinking of making a trip down there sometime this week, for the first time in a long time me and the wife are without kids. were you just setting up on a bluff end? also i have never been to bright elbow do i need a 4x4 to launch there? RUSTY
stone9-7=2 Posted July 27, 2009 Author Posted July 27, 2009 boy thats some fish there. Glad you liked the pic's. Thanks..
stone9-7=2 Posted July 27, 2009 Author Posted July 27, 2009 Rusty, Bluff end's with a long point is what I like best. Sometimes I'll set up in the middle of a big chuncky rock bluff also. Elbow when normal will require 4x4. When we went we launched off the road & was tuff turning around because some tent campers put all there stuff on the upper road. Haven't been there lately so I can't tell you for sure if the lower road is still under water or not. Were going again this Fri night if it don't rain but I think we may go in the Tucker Hollow area & try & catch some of Rangermans big eyes. lol Best of luck 2 you.
