Members smallmouth61 Posted July 29, 2009 Members Posted July 29, 2009 I'm going to float and fish the current river this weekend and i was wondering if anyone else had lately. If anyone has, I'd like to know what they are biting on. Thanks!!!
Flysmallie Posted July 29, 2009 Posted July 29, 2009 Well you know my recent trip wasn't all that spectacular. The best baits for us were a watermelon finesse worm and a topwater. Best luck with the worm on a shakey head. Throw a inline spinner up in some of the slack water around the weeds and you might get a pickerel. Good luck on your trip. It's a beautiful area.

Thanks!!! we fish at least twice a week and right now you will catch the best fish on a 4 in senko style worm in either green pumpkin or cinnamon purple. Easiest way to fish them is on a slider head. If you are more intersted in quanity rather than quality then go to the 3 in version.
