Fishing Buddy Don House Posted July 30, 2009 Author Fishing Buddy Posted July 30, 2009 Don: What kind of spoons do you use - design. brand, size color? Please. Thanks. Spin, All White or All Chart 1/2 ounce and 3/4 ounce Hawg Jaw Spoons... Replace the hook with a Heaver wire treble hook and RED if possible, place a black dot on both sides up high on the spoon and away I go!! I get these at a local tackle shop down here in Kimberling City. Never tried the war eagle spoons, should be just fine, all in a matter of what you like!! Good Fishing Don Capt. Fishing Buddy Don House Posted July 30, 2009 Author Fishing Buddy Posted July 30, 2009 Hey Don! I'm fishing TRL for the Amateur CPA this saturday, not really familiar with deep summer fishing, especially on Table Rock. Im just now getting the hang of the drop shot this year and only have those small chompers worms. What is a "crawler" exactly? Thanks for any information anybody! Good Luck on your CPA series, it a good one, with alot of really good pro's... Just watch your pro you can learn so much from these guys, all are very skilled in tournament fishing and tactics... mclothier1 Posted July 31, 2009 Posted July 31, 2009 I know where one is at but I cant remember where
smallmouthjoe Posted July 31, 2009 Posted July 31, 2009 SMJ, Yes I feel it has to do with Shade and Schools of Bait fish... You put the two together and it is a fish factory! Good Fishing Don Thanks for the info, I think I'll go down this weekend and see what I can get off of some of these deeper docks.
CaptainJoe Posted August 1, 2009 Posted August 1, 2009 Don, Great report and diddo. I am finding the same. Phil Stone and I were out yesterday and the patterns that you posted are still working. All of our fish came at the magic 30' depth. The crawlers were the best. My 9-year old granddaughter (the little one in the picture) was with me and we landed some nice, not big, fish. We were off the water at 11 a.m. before all the crazies got out there. Take care.....
