I usally take some guys fishing in the Early Fall up on Stockton just for a fun fishing trip. Have only been on Stockton twice in my life and the first time we stumbled into some great White bass fishing. Would like to refine my tecnique to be able to do this with a little more consistency. Not looking for specific spots just on some techniques, what to look for and maybe general parts of the lake to start fishing. Also last year we went in Mid-october and caught alot of bass, but did not get into the whites so what time of year or water temp is the best to catch the fall bite. Sorry for all the ? just looking to improve my fishing at waters I usally do not fish but once a year.

Wind is the key factor. Look for wind hitting shallow points. Last year was terrible on Stockton for fall whites and this spring wasn't much better.

If you have a big boat then main lake if not then go to Aldrich or Greenfield landing.

The white bass have been up the last 2 nights around point 7. It's pretty windy today, but if it quits they should be back again. They have been staying up for a long time so you should be able to get a limit without much trouble if the wind does not keep them deep. Pop r's, little george's, baby 1 minus, or anything else that you can keep close to the surface should catch the whites.

If it is windy, then use your graph to locate the fish around the flats at point 7. Then you should be able to fish for them with jigging spoons and catch all you want.

Hope this helps a little bit and have fun on your trip down here. It's been some great fishing all year (now that I said that it will turn really bad)
