Martin Posted April 17, 2006 Posted April 17, 2006 Just wondering if anybody has heard anything about a boating crash this weekend. All my info is heresay and third hand.... so....I don't even know if it actually happened or not. The story is that some folks in their new Crown Line were in the Kings River arm and were hit by a bassboat that was "flying low"..... Here's the unusual part of the story. After the crash with both boats starting to sink, the bass boat reportedly took off and left the scene.. Sounds pretty weird...... Anybody have any info on this....?? Well, I just found this report in the mo state water patrols website. It did happen. It was a Cobalt, not a Crown Line. The bassboat and BB driver has not been found after leaving the scene. http://www.mswp.dps.mo.gov/news/NRDetail.a...=3&ID=N07060016 sheesh.....

denjac Posted April 18, 2006 Posted April 18, 2006 A good friend of mine was killed at Stockton 5 years ago in a boat accident. he was helping some other boat back to Ruark Bluff as they were lost and it was dark. When he pulled into the cove , he shut it down at the idle buoys and the boat following him ran right over the top of him. No drinking involved , just a freak accident that could have been avoided if both parties had payed a little more attention. Maybe the boat that ran off had somebody hurt and went for help, guess it will all come out in the wash. Dennis Boothe Joplin Mo.
