Members tpierce Posted September 2, 2009 Members Posted September 2, 2009 bow, I grew up in KS but live and guide some on TRock now. Wilson doesn't have a lot of cover, some grass, so obviously you'll have to focus on structure such as secondary's and transition areas. Wilson will definately be further along when it comes to changing seasons. I would think that those fish will definately be catchable in late Sept. along those transition spots and secondary's. A wiggle wart works good on that lake. Top water over some of the few grass patches (watch out for stripers) and then jigs and plastics. Hope that helps...go cats!!!!!
Fishin' Freak Posted September 2, 2009 Posted September 2, 2009 bow- I fished both Cedar and Wilson. Cedar more than Wilson but both are good KS fisheries. I know some real good areas on Cedar but the lake struggles to maintain its water level. I have caught smallies near the dam on Cedar but always small ones. tpierce gave some good advice for Wilson. Main lake and secondary points--hit alot of them. Rock Chalk!
